active-net GmbH develops high-performance, future-proof connectivity solutions for business customers, network operators and public sector clients. To this end, the company connects existing fibre-optic infrastructures, integrates modern active network technologies and, with the “ActiveNetwork”, creates a scalable, actively managed fibre-optic network.

The ActiveNetwork forms the basis for secure, end-to-end monitored data transmission services. As a business carrier, active-net offers, amongst other things, wavelength, optical spectrum, FlexE and Ethernet services. This results in high-performance and resilient solutions that meet demanding requirements for availability, security and scalability.

Strategic expansion in the Greater Berlin area

With the acquisition of Cito Networks GmbH in early 2026, active-net GmbH, together with ATON Digital Services GmbH, has taken an important step in expanding its business carrier strategy. The aim is to further strengthen its regional market position in the Greater Berlin area and to link this with the ActiveNetwork’s infrastructure, which will be scalable across regions in future.
