In underground mining, Redpath supports its clients in the exploration and development of mines, the driving of drifts and tunnels, underground support works and production-related mining operations. Its technical expertise includes conventional drilling and blasting methods, mechanised driving, contract mining, raise mining and raise boring. For mechanised raise mining, the Group has extensive equipment as well as its own and patented technical solutions. In addition, Redpath constructs underground crushing, conveying and material transport systems and undertakes specialised work in shaft and tunnel construction.
